J. A. and Sandra, his wife of 38 years, are native North Alabamians but have lived in Tennessee and Mississippi. In 1991 they came home to Alabama and have lived here since. In their time off they enjoy spending time with their two lovely daughters, reading, and traveling. Southern Gospel Music has always been of great interest to them. In fact, they often sing with other family members at special occasions and benefit fund raisers.
The Sassers are both active in their church; J. A. serves on various committees. J. A. and Sandra are active in the Church Choir. Both volunteer in the local school near their home as well, spending time reading books to students and helping on special occasions.
